John Heath Family Newspaper Articles

This page is devoted to all of the newspaper articles (or book excerpts) collected for the John Heath family. Many of them in the bottom group are from the Towanda Herald which was a weekly which ran from 1885 - 1894. The editor of the paper took a real shine to John as you can tell from some of the blurbs. Most of the images that we posted first were taken with a digital camera shooting a picture of the microfilm image so the quality is legible but not pristine. The newer articles are much clearer as they are from pdfs of scanned images. These come from the Walnut Valley Times and the El Dorado Republican among others.
