Frank Heath & Rachel Adsit Family
This page is devoted to all of the documents and records collected for the Frank Bertis Heath and Rachel Adsit family. Frank and Rachel married in 1897. Both of Frank's parents as well as Rachel's mother were deceased. They quickly started a family and had 3 children by 1902. In 1903 Frank was severely injured in an accident on the farm and spent some time in the hospital. The pain was too much for him after his return home and he eventually ended his own life on June 26, 1903. Rachel later married William Thomas Smith in 1906 and had several children but the man was an alcoholic and life was difficult. They ended up selling the farm. Rachel eventually left him and moved her large family to a house rented by her father. Rachel died on the 29th of March 1940 and was laid to rest beside Frank Heath in the Towanda Cemetery.
