John Wheat & Susanna Gatton Family
John was born in Prince George's County, Maryland later moving with much of his family to Bedford County, Virginia. The age of his wife, Susannah "Sukie" Gatton, is in some dispute. Some proclaim she is the mother of his children while others say no she is his second wife who he married late in life and is much younger. She did live for 33 years following his death so if she is the mother of the children then she died at an age of around 100 years old. This may never be solved.
