Rudolf and Martha Winzer lived in the family village of Stetten, Lorrach, Germany. They had 9 children total. Seven that survived birth were all given names that started with "E". Three of the children emigrated to America together in 1856. Emil, Engelbert, and Egon all went to America with Emil and Egon ending up in Cleveland among the large German population. Egon went by his middle name of Joseph which was a family name as well.
