This page is devoted to all of the documents and records collected for the Thomas Goodier family. Thomas was the oldest child of Aaron and Sarah (Sally) Haywood Goodier and the only of their children born in England. He was only a few months old when they left for America in 1794. Polly Munn was the daughter of Elijah and Martha Munn. Thomas served in the War of 1812 in the New York Militia as part of the 27th Regiment. His rank was corporal.

Thomas' Birth Record - Son of Aaron and Sally of Newton. Baptized at the Old Chapel at Dukinfeld. Several generation of Goodiers born, married and died there.

Bounty Land : Thomas was actually awarded 40 acres of land that had been set aside for veterans. It was in Wisconsin but he never claimed it. It was later claimed by someone else.
Naturalization : Thomas came to this country shortly after birth. He was naturalized in 1830 along with his father.
Oath of Allegiance : Required of all applying for citizenship. Includes statements from neighbors.

Polly and Eunice Goodier Grave Marker : The 1st and 2nd wife of Thomas Goodier. He outlived them both.
