John Rider & Mary Paine Family
John and Mary were both born in Barnstable County, MA. At some point around 1745, they moved to the wilds of Dutchess County, NY in an area known as "Southeast". It was here they raised their family although wanderlust struck some of the children who moved to Herkimer County in the years ahead. Once the family moved to New York there are very few vital records.
